Great Multi-Media runs throughout the show with scenes of Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Paul Anka starring in the film The Longest Day - which he wrote the music for. Paul Anka has released more than 120 albums and written some 500 songs either for himself or other performers. Lou has been told many times that he looks and sounds like Paul Anka. So with Lou Villano as Paul Anka along with Lou's band - THE DESTINY BAND - he performs over 90 minutes of Anka hits which includes - Diana, Lonely Boy, Steel Guitar, The Longest Day, My Hometown , Puppy Love, Destiny, of course My Way and so much more. Within the show are songs Paul wrote for singers Buddy Holly, Frank Sinatra, Barbara Streisand, Tom Jones, Sammy Davis, Jr. It's a show that you are going to remember as you walk out singing the songs you loved to hear by such a talented songwriter and singer. With Lou’s interpretive abilities, you will find yourself falling in love with these songs all over again. Whenever he steps on stage Lou receives RAVE REVIEWS and standing ovations.
This show is a One-Of-A- Kind - MUST SEE - TRUE Paul Anka Show.
“Are you the Entertainer?” When Lou brought his talent from New York to South Florida, that was the question he was asked every time he arrived to do a show. Of course the answer was, "Yes, I am." Now, Lou no longer has to answer that question. Since his first show in October of 2006, Lou has positioned himself as one of the top entertainers in his field. He has performed 3 times with the Sugar Pops and Hallandale Symphony Orchestras. On Nov. 28th, 2015 Lou was praised by Dick Robinson, the Founder of the Preservation of the Great American Songbook & radio personality on Legends Radio 100.3 FM in Palm Beach County. Hear that segment of the show & his review of Lou's arrangement of I'll Take Romance - Lou Villano on Legends Radio. Lou has also been featured on the Morning Lounge hosted by Jill & Rich Switzer from Legends 100.3 FM & interviewed recently by radio personality Mic McGann of Legends about his Paul Anka Show (Lou Villano discuss his Paul Anka Tribute Show). He has performed with such great performers as: Lou Christie, Rich Purpura, Gene Merola, Sal Richards, Bobby Kelton, Ken Block, Steve Solomon, Rocky LaPorte, Carl Guerra, Tim Cotter, Mike Marino, Ben Kurland, Wendy Liebman, Brad Zimmerman, Peter Fogel, Barry St. Ives, Alan Prophet and The Grandmother of Comedy - Mrs. Hughes.
